Mission:
The mission of the Pohatcong History & Heritage Society is to preserve and interpret the social, cultural, natural, and architectural history of Pohatcong Township in order to foster, among all Pohatcong residents and visitors, a deeper appreciation of the township's historical significance and to ensure a successful balance between future growth and the preservation of the township's historic integrity.

Goals:
  • To provide a comprehensive resource for researching properties, people, and events.
  • To promote learning and dissemination of information through programs, internet, events, etc.

  • To foster the preservation of historically significant properties throughout the township and region.
  • To learn from and build upon the efforts of other historically-minded groups.
